Belmont Abbey College has reported its highest total enrollment to date for the Fall 2025 semester, reaching 1,741 students. This figure marks a 3.2% increase from the previous year and includes the college’s second-largest incoming class of new students.

The student body is drawn from a range of academic programs, including traditional undergraduate, online undergraduate, dual-enrolled, non-degree seeking, and graduate tracks. Of the total enrolled students, 741 are new admissions. These students represent 48 states and 26 countries.

“We are gratified to see so many students and families connecting with our academic, student, and faith experiences,” said Dr. Jesse Dorman, Vice Provost of Enrollment at Belmont Abbey College. “We are thrilled to welcome this highly engaged incoming class, with their unique talents, skills, and abilities that will enrich the Belmont Abbey College community and extend far beyond our campus.”

A notable factor in this year’s growth is an all-time high of 134 graduate students enrolled across eight graduate programs. The launch of two new degrees—the Master of Arts in Motorsport Management and the Master of Sport Management—contributed to this increase. The MA in Motorsport Management is described as the first program of its kind in the United States and benefits from proximity to Charlotte and Concord, recognized centers for NASCAR and other motorsports industries.

Additionally, Belmont Abbey recently updated its Master of Science in Nursing program to address demand for educators within healthcare by introducing an MSN—Educator track.

Interim President Dr. Joseph Wysocki credited the achievement to collective efforts on campus: “This community—so passionately committed to the College’s mission and so dedicated to fulfilling the Abbey promise to our students—is the reason we’ve come this far. Congratulations to every one of our faculty, staff, and the monks who work every day to make the promise of the Abbey a reality for our students.”

Despite trends showing declining enrollment at many regional colleges facing demographic challenges (https://belmontabbeycollege.edu/), Belmont Abbey reports continued growth while maintaining its Catholic mission focused on education in mind, body, and spirit.
