Bessemer City Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 2. 

On Friday, October 22nd the Bessemer City Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual “Movie in the Park”. This year’s feature film will be “Beetle Juice”. The movie will be shown at dusk in the downtown park located on West Virginia Avenue Bessemer City, NC 28016. Before the film starts we invite you to join us for fun with inflatables, face painting, games, popcorn, Funnel Cakes, and Cotton Candy! So bring your towel and come enjoy a free movie with the Parks & Recreation Program! Please call (704) 629- 5111 for more information.
