City of Belmont issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.
The Catawba Crossings public meeting is tonight between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Gaston College Kimbrell Campus Auditorium. You may drop in at any time to review conceptual designs and project information. Representatives from the project team will be present to answer questions and collect public opinion.

The City of Lincolnton has moved all bulk water sales operations to its wastewater treatment plant starting May 1. The city outlined updated pricing, payment terms, and penalties for unauthorized use.
Providers in Lincolnton billed $2,050,750 to Medicaid for Temporary National Codes (Non-Medicare) services in 2024, a 276.2% jump from the prior year.
Lincolnton’s Public Services Department has scheduled paving work for Third Street and Hartman Street starting May 4. Residents should expect traffic changes during construction. Contact city officials with any questions.
