City of Belmont issued the following announcement on Sep 3. 

 On Saturday, September 11, Salute to Heroes Charlotte Foundation along with Presenting Partners – Charlotte Knights, Truist Bank, Harris Teeter, Charlotte Hyundai Dealers, Roof Medic. will be hosting Celebration of Heroes – 20th Anniversary of 9/11 with Charlotte Chiefs Cup Baseball game. The evening will be a fun family night out and end with a special fireworks display.
The first pitch is set for 6 pm. Gates open at 5pm. Throughout the evening at Truist Field there will be many different in-game activities including honoring those that were lost in the line of duty from both North and South Carolina.
In addition, a special tribute will occur in remembrance to lives lost on 09/11/2001 and those who passed away after responding to the incident, rescue, and recovery aftermath of 9/11.
