City of Belmont Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

This year the Belmont Police Department will be partnering with local faith based organizations to host the first annual National Faith & Blue Weekend. We need your help spreading the word to church leaders throughout the community. We will be hosting an event planning meeting this Tuesday at 5pm at the Belmont Police Department. During National Faith & Blue Weekend there will be multiple events at several locations throughout the city to encourage community engagement and outreach. We hope to partner with all faith based organizations in and around the Belmont community. We are excited to host this event and are looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish as a community!
