City of Bessemer issued the following announcement on Dec. 24. 

City Hall and administrative facilities will be closed Friday, December 24th, and Monday, December 27th in observance of Christmas and will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, December 28th. Facilities will also be closed on Monday, January 3rd for New Year’s Day and will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 4th. Please note that trash will remain on schedule. We thank you for your cooperation.
