City of Bessemer issued the following announcement on Feb. 7.
Bessemer City is building a Hive for Business. With over 1,200,000 million square feet of business campus/production space in the community and with an additional 1,300,000 million square feet committed or planned, Bessemer City will see hundreds of additional jobs created in the community.

There were two companies in cities associated with Gaston County that received FDA citations as a result of two inspections conducted in the county in 2025, according to reports from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The Stanley Town Council will hold a public hearing on June 1 about possible changes to its employee dependent health insurance policy. Citizens can review proposed amendments at Town Hall and share feedback during the meeting.
