City of Bessemer City issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

Bessemer City Mayor and City Council urge you to attend the September 11th Remembrance Ceremony. Civic, business, and public service leaders will lead a time of remembrance on the square in front of City Hall.

 “We Will Remember” is a memorial event to commemorate victims of the attack on America. 

Please join the Bessemer City Community in Remembrance and Reflection on the 21st Anniversary of the tragic
9/11 attacks. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 11th,
2022 at 5:00 pm in front of City Hall (132 West Virginia Avenue, Bessemer City, NC 28016).
