CITY OF GASTONIA: Calling all KGB Bee and Butterfly lovers!

0Comments

City of Gastonia issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.

Keep Gastonia Beautiful recently received a grant from the Community Foundation to create mini pollinator meadows at all 8 Fire Stations!

Of course the weather is holding out so we have a chance to plant seeds before it gets cold and we are looking for groups who don’t mind getting their hands a little dirty and help us at a Fire Station?

We have the firemen tilling the areas next week and will have black gold dumped and then are asking for volunteers to join us the week of the 15th to spread the black gold and seed the areas.

This could be done during the day or the weekend.  We will meet  your group out there with wheel barrows, rakes, gloves and tools.

This is a perfect project for a group of friends who love to cultivate the land and watch the flowers grow this spring.

Let me know if you have a group that is willing to BEE great helpers and get this project done while we still have great November weather!!!
