COUNTY OF GASTON: Clear the Shelter Event

COUNTY OF GASTON: Clear the Shelter Event
0Comments

County of Gaston issued the following announcement on Sep 17.

Gaston County Police Animal Care and Enforcement would like to invite the community to our Clear the Shelter event on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11am to 2pm.  The goal of the event is to find loving homes for our shelter animals in need.  Food will be available for purchase, vendors will be on site, and family fun for our community to enjoy will be on hand as we focus on finding that forever bond between our animals and their new families.  The staff is ready and prepared to do on sight adoptions, but one thing will be needed: a leash to take your new dog home.  Bring any dogs you currently have in your home so a meet and greet can occur before adoption.  Same day adoptions will take place and most of our animals are available to leave with their new families.  Lastly, it is suggested that you get pre-approved so the adoption processing time is reduced.  Please be patient with our staff as we work to get all of our animals adopted.
