Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.
We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday! As a reminder, Town offices will be closed December 24 through December 26 for the Christmas holiday. Town offices will be closed Wednesday of the following week for New Year's Day.
Holiday Trash Schedule
Waste Connections will be off for Christmas Day and resume collection of Wednesday’s route on Thursday and operate the remainder of the week on a one day delay.
Waste Connections will also be off New Year’s Day, following a similar schedule of collecting that Wednesday’s routes on Thursday and operating the rest of that week on a one-day delay.
Christmas trees and wreaths will be collected curbside beginning December 26 through January 10, 2020. This does not apply to artificial trees and wreaths.
Also, a quick recycling reminder – Please empty and clean your recyclable containers before placing them in your recycling carts to reduce food- based contamination.
