City of Gastonia issued the following announcement on May 5.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic and limits on the size of social gatherings, the first three concerts in Gastonia’s Summer Concert Series have been postponed until the fall of 2020.

New schedule:

• May 15 concert postponed until Oct. 16.

  On the Border – Eagle’s tribute band

• May 16 concert rescheduled for Oct. 17.

  String Theory – Beatles tribute band, Scandal, Image, Gaston Symphonic Band. United Way Day and chili cook-off

• May 29 concert rescheduled for Sept. 18.

  DeCarlo, featuring Tommy DeCarlo, former lead singer of the rock band Boston

Decisions will be made later about concerts scheduled for June and July. The concerts are held at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion in Downtown Gastonia. The concert series is presented by the Rotary Club of Gastonia East, in partnership with the City of Gastonia.
