North Carolina Rep. John Torbett (R-Gaston) has detailed legislative accomplishments for Medicaid and the Second Amendment Protection Act in recent posts that he made to Facebook.
Torbett supported the appropriation of more than $460 million for North Carolina's Medicaid program, the Republican posted to his Facebook page on June 26.
"Early this morning I supported the following for folks in medical need during this tough time," Torbett said in the post. "North Carolina’s Medicaid program securing healthcare for over 2 million low-income citizens was approved by the State House of Representatives on Thursday."
The Republican also received praise in a Facebook post thanking him and Rep. David Lewis (R-Harnett) for working on the Second Amendment Protection Act as well.
"Congratulations on your efforts to sponsor and spearhead H.B. 652, the Second Amendment Protection Act. Thanks to you North Carolinians will now be better able to protect themselves and their families as they worship," the post states.
