GEMS Chief Mark Lamphiear elected to the Board of Directors of the International Association of EMS Chiefs.
The International Association of EMS Chiefs, based in Washington, DC, recently announced that GEMS Chief Mark Lamphiear was elected to the Board of Directors. Lamphiear will serve a two-year term until 2022 and will be Director at Large. Chief Lamphiear said that he is excited for the opportunity to utilize this position to advocate for the men and women that proudly serve in the EMS profession. “I want to recognize the amazing work that EMS professionals across the world have done, and continue to do, to deliver exceptional care to patients despite the added obstacles presented by the COVID 19 pandemic”.
The IAEMSC is a diverse, professional organization committed to improving the provision of pre-hospital emergency medical care. Its mission is to support, promote, and advance the leadership of EMS response entities and to advocate for the EMS profession. IAEMSC membership is made up of leaders from both career and volunteer EMS organizations and proudly represents and embraces the diversity of EMS agencies throughout the world.
Lamphiear is one of the 37 founding charter members of the IAEMSC.
