Bessemer City home prices fall in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Bessemer City fell by $1,250 while total sales decreased by 1.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 68 homes sold, with a median sale price of $126,750 - a 1% decrease over the $128,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 69 homes sold in Bessemer City in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Bessemer City for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,113, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
