Cherryville Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
Carter is a senior at crest high school and is the son of Rick and Rhonda Greene. Carter is a wide receiver for the crest charger football team and also plays baseball and track with a grade point average of 4.54. Advanced courses include classes at Cleveland Community College. He is also involved in the beta club and the national honor society. Carter is a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church and is involved in the youth group and vacation bible school. After graduation carter plans to attend Appalachian State University and study exercise science and physical therapy.
