County of Gaston issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Gaston County Solid Waste site at Riverbend in Mount Holly will be temporarily closed. Norfolk Southern Railroad will be fixing the road crossing on Mountain Island Road.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will let you know when the Riverbend site reopens.
