City of Mount Holly issued the following announcement on Apr. 14.
The public will take notice that the City Council of the City of Mount Holly has called a public hearing at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Mount Holly Municipal Complex on the question of annexing the following described territory, requested by petition filed pursuant to G.S. 160A-31: BEGINNING at a stake in the center of the Mount Holly-McAdenville Road, 32 feet West of the intersection of center of said road and Rankin Avenue; thence South 2 West 1673 feet to a stake in the center of the Piedmont & Northern Railway track; thence in a westerly direction with said railway track 253 feet to a stake, C. P. Howard’s corner; thence North 24 West 1550 feet to a stake in the center of said Mount Holly-McAdenville Road; thence with the center of said road North 66 East 950 feet to the BEGINNING; containing 21.1 acres more or less, and being subject to the right of way of the Piedmont & Northern Railway and of the Southern Power Company right of way. Known locally as tax PID 181234.
