City of Kings Mountain issued the following announcement on Apr. 25.
The City’s Electric Division will be having an urgent repair of electrical equipment tonight at midnight. This repair is necessary to be completed prior to the rain that is anticipated tomorrow evening, in order to avoid a possible failure outage. It is not anticipated that the outage will last more than one hour. Beginning at Midnight on April 25, 2022(tonight) and ending at 1:00AM on April 26th, 2022.
Businesses will need to take whatever precautions necessary regarding sensitive equipment such as computers etc. Please refer to the map of the highlighted effected areas as well as the information below:
The outage is scheduled for Midnight today April 25, 2022 -1:00AM, April 26, 2022, approximately one (1) hour. The effected outage area is as follows:
• Gold Street (From Cansler to Gaston)
• Mountain Street (From Battleground to Piedmont)
• Cherokee Street (From Mountain to Falls)
• Battleground Avenue (From Mountain to Falls)
• Railroad Avenue (From Mountain to Gold)
• Piedmont Avenue (From Mountain to Gold)
• Traffic Signal at City Hall (Cherokee and Gold)
