City of Belmont issued the following announcement on May 10.

We are so excited to finally announce that the Kevin Loftin Riverfront Park playground will be re-opening on May 14th!!
Please note, there will be limited parking available during the ceremony due to Riverfest taking place shortly after the ribbon cutting and the parking lot will close at 10am for the event. Parking will be available across the street at CityWorks.
