City of Belmont issued the following announcement on May 25.
Plastic bags, wraps, and film are not acceptable in Belmont’s curbside recycling bins. These items clog machinery used to process recyclable materials resulting in operational problems and facility shutdowns. Leave recyclables loose in the bin and if possible, reuse your bags or drop them off at local grocery stores or retailers.
