City of Greensboro issued the following announcement on Sept. 25.
The City of Greensboro will host three in-person community input sessions to aid in the search for the next police chief. Residents are encouraged to attend any of the sessions to offer input, suggestions, and engage in the process. The sessions are as follows:
· Saturday, September 24, 11 am to 12:30 pm – Greensboro Central Library, 219 N. Church St.
· Wednesday, September 28, 5-6:30 pm – Kathleen Clay Edwards Library, 1420 Price Park Dr.
· Wednesday, September 28, 7-8:30 pm – Ruth Wicker Barber Park Event Center, 1502 Barber Park Dr.
There is also a community survey, open through Friday, September 30, which includes topics, such as key issues facing the police department, top priorities for the new police chief, etc. The results of the survey will be tabulated and shared by the consulting group Developmental Associates.
