County Of Gaston issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.

Gaston County Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) Announce Fall Workshop

The workshop will focus on the benefits of being MWBE certified, as well as provide additional information from the North Carolina State Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Office.  We have several speakers lined up, including Dr. Kim Eagle, Gaston County Manager; Camisha Farris, President and Co-Owner of Anointed Flooring, Inc.; Felicia Williams, Director of Small Business Center at Gaston College; and Dan Ziehm, Gaston County Public Works Director.  As a highlight, we have the pleasure of having Ms. Tammy Hall as a presenter. She serves as the Assistant to the Secretary for HUB Director, Office of Historically Underutilized Businesses for the North Carolina Department of Administration. We will also have information regarding upcoming Gaston County construction projects that will be up for bidding soon.  If you are interested in participating in this Zoom event, you must register online.
