County of Gaston issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.

Following approval by the NJCAA Board of Regents, the NJCAA has announced the locations for several upcoming championships in 2023 and 2024. 

All locations were vetted by the NJCAA National Office and recommended by the Championship & Sports Governance Committee.

Outdoor Track & Field

The 2023 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be hosted by Mohawk Valley Community College at Thomas R. Proctor Stadium in Utica, NY, from May 11-13. 

Mohawk Valley last hosted the three-day championship in 2019.

Men's & Women's Soccer

For the next two years, the NJCAA Division I Men's and Women's Soccer Championships will be jointly hosted by Visit Wichita at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, KS. The dates for each championship are November 12-18, 2023, and November 17-23, 2024. Most recently, the Stryker Sports Complex served as the location for the NJCAA DII Men's and Women's Soccer Championships during the fall of 2021.

The NJCAA Division II Men's & Women's Soccer Championships will return to the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, AZ, for the 2023 national tournament. Hosted by Pima Community College and Visit Tucson, the joint tournament will be held November 12-18, 2023. In 2024, NJCAA Division II Men's & Women's Soccer Championships will be hosted by Huntsville/Madison County CVB & Huntsville Sports Commission in Huntsville, AL from November 17-23. John Hunt Park will serve as the venue for the pool play phase of the national tournament before the semifinals and finals conclude at Joe Davis Stadium.

Gaston County Tourism Development will host the 2023 and 2024 NJCAA Division III Men's & Women's Soccer Championships at CaroMont Health Park in Gastonia, NC. The dates of the national tournaments are November 8-12, 2023, and November 13-17, 2024.

Women's Volleyball

Cedar Rapids Tourism and Kirkwood Community College have earned bids to host the 2023 and 2024 NJCAA Division II and Division III Volleyball Championships as well as the 2024 NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championship. Each national tournament will be hosted at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, IA. In 2023, the DIII national tournament will be held November 9-11 before the DII national tournament is played November 15-18. The dates for the DIII national tournament in 2024 will be November 14-16, with the DII and DI national tournaments being held November 20-23. The Alliant Energy PowerHouse has served as the location for the NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship since the 2020-21 spring

Cross Country & Half Marathon

The 2024 NJCAA Men's & Women's Cross Country and Half Marathon Championships will be hosted by Richmond Region Tourism in Richmond, VA.  On November 9, 2024, all three divisions of men's and women's cross country will compete in the national meet at Pole Green Park. Dorey Park will serve as the location for the NJCAA Men's & Women's Half Marathon Championships on November 12, 2024.
