County of Gaston issued the following announcement on March 1.
2023 Tax Reappraisals have been completed. Informal appeals will begin once notices are mailed, and taxpayers will have 30 days to appeal from the date of the notice. Below are the different options to appeal your property value.
- File an appeal online by visiting our website at: www.wevaluegaston2023.com
- Submit an appeal form by mail to our office at Gaston County Tax Office, PO Box 1578, Gastonia, NC 28053.
- Appeal forms were attached to the notices mailed in late February.
- Schedule an appeal in person, please contact our office at 704-866-3158 and select option 2.
- Appeals will be held at different locations throughout the county for your convenience.
Formal appeals to the Board of Equalization and review will begin in late April.
