Congressman Tim Moore, who won the 2024 general election against Pam Genant with 58.1% of the vote, recently shared updates on his work and local engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On August 19, 2025, Moore highlighted his ongoing collaboration with Lake Lure Mayor Carol Pritchett in hurricane recovery efforts. He stated, “Always glad to catch up with Lake Lure Mayor Carol Pritchett! She has done a phenomenal job leading local efforts for hurricane recovery. It’s been my honor to work with her to bring federal resources to Lake Lure and other areas devastated by Hurricane Helene.”
Later that evening, Moore referenced his participation at a regional event focused on credit unions. On August 20, he posted, “I appreciate the invitation to address the Carolina Credit Union League’s Western North Carolina Chapter Dinner. This was an important opportunity to share an update on my work with the House Financial Services Committee and discuss our efforts to ensure credit unions have the”.
In another post from August 20, Moore described a visit to Chimney Rock where he observed recovery progress following Hurricane Helene. He wrote, “Yesterday, I got out to Chimney Rock to visit businesses that are reopening and speak with Mayor Peter O’Leary. They’ve been working hard to rebuild after Hurricane Helene and have made remarkable progress — I encourage everyone to visit Chimney Rock and support these small”.
These updates reflect Moore’s continued involvement in disaster recovery initiatives and financial policy discussions within his district. In the previous year’s election cycle, Timothy K. Moore secured victory over Pam Genant in the general election by receiving 58.1% of votes compared to Genant’s 41.9%.
