TOWN OF RANLO: Notice Of Public Legislative Hearing – Rezoning

Town of Ranlo issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.

The Mayor and Board of Commissioners invite you to attend a public legislative hearing(s) to share your comments on the following amendment requests.  

The hearing(s) will be held at the stated time or as soon thereafter as time will allow.  The hearing(s) on the proposed amendment(s) will be held in order of appearance on the agenda on Thursday, September 8, 2022, beginning at 7:00 PM at the Ranlo Town Hall, 1624 Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.  

Hearing impaired persons requiring assistance should contact the Town Clerk (704) 824-3461 at least 24 hours prior to the hearing to request special accommodations. 

 The Town of Ranlo has received a petition for a zoning map amendment to approximately 22 acres of property owned by “Ozark Partners, Inc. C/O Beal Manufacturing”, P.O. Box 848, Lowell, NC 28098-0848 as evidenced on Page 1980 of Gaston County Register of Deeds Book 4262, being the owners of the certain land areas hereinafter described as Gaston County Tax Parcel 197163 appearing on Tax Book 007, Map 009 and located at east end of East Long Avenue.  

The property request is for a “Mixed Use 1 District” (MU-1) zoning designation of the subject property.
