Belmont Abbey College has announced the launch of a new Master of Arts in Motorsport Management program, set to begin in the fall of 2025. This program is the first of its kind in the United States and builds on Belmont Abbey College's history as a leader in motorsports education since it started an undergraduate motorsport program in 2007.
The online master's program aims to meet the increasing demand for specialized education in motorsports by offering a curriculum that blends business management principles with industry-specific knowledge. Students will develop skills needed for leadership roles, preparing them for careers in marketing, team management, finance, and community relations within the motorsports sector.
Dr. Joseph Wysocki, Provost of Belmont Abbey College, stated, “We are thrilled to offer this one-of-a-kind graduate program that combines our passion for education with the excitement of motorsport.” He emphasized the program's goal to cultivate professionals who will drive industry growth.
The MA in Motorsport Management is designed to give students a competitive edge by preparing them for various roles such as sponsorship coordinator and track operations manager. Dr. Trey Cunningham, Program Director, highlighted that the degree would equip students with essential tools through faculty members who possess real-world experience in motorsports.
Situated in a key location for motorsports activity, Belmont Abbey College offers access to industry professionals and networking opportunities. The program is tailored for working professionals as it is affordable, asynchronous, and fully online. Students can complete their studies within 12 months.
Applications are now open for the Fall 2025 semester pending final approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
